-Government Neglection
===Act One===
We talk to leading scientist about the 2012 doomsday predictions; Planet X, Mayan Calendar, Pole Shift, etc.
'''Prince Charles''' warned of ‘monumental problems’ if the world’s population continues to grow at such a rapid pace.
'''Professor Nicholas Boyle''' of Cambridge University said that a ‘Doomsday’ moment will take place in 2014 and that in the last 500 years there has been a cataclysmic ‘Great Event’ of international significance at the start of each century.
'''Professor James Lovelock''', warns that the world’s population may sink as low as 500 million over the next century due to global warming and that any attempts to tackle climate change will not be able to solve the problem, merely buy us time.
'''Professor Frank Fenner''', emeritus professor of microbiology at the Australian National University, has predicted that the human race will be extinct within the next 100 years as well as a lot of animals. The human race will be unable to survive a population explosion and ‘unbridled consumption.’ ‘It’s an irreversible situation. I think it’s too late. I try not to express that because people are trying to do something, but they keep putting it off.’ Fenner, 95, has won awards for his work in helping eradicate the variola virus that causes smallpox and has written or co-written 22 books.
Since humans entered an unofficial scientific period known as the Anthropocene – the time since industrialization – we have had an effect on the planet that rivals any ice age or comet impact.
Predictions and conspiracies keep going and going form renowned authors.
===Act Two===
We poke about the possible government conspiracies of only saving the rich and powerful because there are too humans and resources to save.
Conversations change to political scrutiny as we point our finger at the government to keep them on their toes. That this is all do to neglection of our planet, NOT human neglection, but government neglection.
People care but we cant do anything about it. An organization of profesionals cannot even stop escavating, deforesting, mining, or sucking out the earths petroleum which may be in that billion old life cycle for a reason. We do not know enough about the planet.
Sure driving is a privilege but it is a requirement at this level of our society. We can be the nicest people with the best intent for the world but then we have to use a gas guzzling car to get where we need to go because many cant afford electric cars, there is always a long wait for them too, public transit is not up to par with our needs, and simply we must jump many hoops to be a part of the solution instead of the problem. The government should be facilitating it for us. They are doing the opposite.
Even though we see weather becoming more extreme, every year all nations around the world are reporting the coldest winter and hottest summers since record keeping began. Eventhough the mass population is observing this withought government scrutiny or news filtering, we are still blind to the potential threat that this planet can have to our species. We do not have a proper understanding of the planet nor space and time. A global disaster could happen at any one time.
These are signs, but the government blind with money as they still fund oil production instead of alternative fuels. During this historical green movement of our era, the largest environmental catastrophe ever just occurred. Some petrol companies have more money than nations and are still growing every year despite the effects of the economy. The government is addicted to oil, but the people are not. They feel they need it to keep the economic system rolling, but they should not at the cost of the earth. Its a self-destructive path against a battle with mother nature that cannot win. Both will loose. This planet is the only thing we have as part of life in this universe.
===Act Three===
The film will end with the efforts of the militant environmentalist James Lee protesting against Kate and Jon plus 8, and 17 and counting, until finally hearing that final shot as a sniper takes him out which connects the beginning and the end of the film. (To the audience it shows how even our own individual efforts can’t win if the government is not in agreement.)
