The idea of the bad news cell phone with graphic deaths. Girls stumble and fall all the time. What if a girl who is talking to her friend about how much she’s in love and how much she loves life and while talking trips just at the edge of the street where her head is for a moment exposed over the curb and gets hit by a taxi driver. The cell phone slides to the middle of the road.
Audio is muted and slowly raises with the building commotion of pedestrians rushing to the gory scene.
The sound comes is back and we can here the girl on the phone asking, hey are you still there, then the phone is crunched by a car.
The scene now goes to the girl who she was talking to as she says, "oh well, bad connection". She gets out of her car where she was parked waiting to go into a building.
She opens the door and is taken out, door and all, by a flower delivery truck, in which the driver was on the phone with someone. He says: Larry, shit man, I gotta go.
Scene jumps to Larry in his car.
Larry says: "OK", as he is looking right at a cross-walk he begins driving forward without looking forward and almost kills an innocent young baby in a stroller, but only has tipped the stroller on to two wheels and resting on the car.
The audience of the movie sighs in relief.
Yet the onlookers of the situation there were young minorities who got angry and started attacking the driver’s car. One punk kid breaks the passenger side window and someone else was walking between the back of his car when he jams on reverse to get out of the situation and not hit the people still in front of him.
The kid is first crunched by the two cars at the knee then as the car pushed the other car a little the boy begins to fall from the severed legs the reverse is still going and crunches the kids face graphically in between the two cars.
The hooligans are now grabbing the guy by the throat and trying to get on board. Out of panic he decides to drive forward as soon as there is an opening, still fighting the boys clinging on to the truck he leaves the intersection and immediately pops onto the curve where there is a girl walking unknowingly away talking on the phone. She gets hit, the front tire rols over her but is pinched at the back double bogie tire and is graphically cheese-grinded along the sidewalk.(like that poor Jewish boy in central square.)
At 10mph her protruding legs trip and flip people who nearly missed the grill of the truck. We can hear the muffled phone as her arm is still clinging to it, "hello, helllooo?"
Scene jumps to the person saying Hello on the phone. Audience assumes these cooincidental deaths via the same cell reception will continue but we catch them off guard.
This new individual was the nanny, caring two young infants in her arms as she is she is approaching a stairwell and trying to juggle the phone in her ear and grocery bags in hands. Shot makes it appear like she will trip and fall with the infants down a horrible staircase, but she doesn't.
Audience is kept on suspense every time a dangerous situation may occur because we already indexed that pattern in their system, but we will maximize the suspense and save it for a grand finale.
